SCHEURING MAKITA SPEED SPORTS' TEAM ENDS SEASON WITH STRONG FINISH AT SERIES FINALE

Robbie Malinoski finished in the top five in both Pro Stock and Pro Open at the Nielsen Enterprises Grand Finale. This included coming from eleventh place in the Pro Open final after being pushed off the track and crossing the checkered flag in fourth.

Andrew Johnstad was not as fortunate. Andrew was black flagged in the qualifier for jumping the start and missed the main event. Over 26,000 people were on hand as the weather hit the mid fifties on Sunday

Robbie also ended in the top five in season points in both Pro Open (fourth) and Pro Stock (fifth). The results are quite amazing as Robbie raced all the January, February, and March races with a separated shoulder after crashing at the test track right after Christmas.

At the awards banquet Andrew Johnstad was named “Most Improved Pro”

Both drivers will continue testing well into April as their sights are already set on next year.
