ROCKSTAR MAKITA SUZUKI READIES FOR ROUND 2 AT FONTANA

Rockstar Makita Suzuki is ready to make a strong showing at the Auto Club Speedway this weekend in Fontana, Calif. Team riders Tommy Hayden and Blake Young are primed for Round 2 of the AMA SuperBike series, and they’ve got their sites set on the top of the podium.

Hayden took the second spot on the podium in both races of season opener in Daytona, and he’s looking to have another podium appearance in Fontana. Young finished in the top 5 overall in Daytona and is looking to improve upon those results in the second round of racing at the Auto Club Speedway.

“There seems to be a lot of excitement in the paddock this season, now that the championship is up for grabs,” Team Manager Peter Doyle said. The 2009 SuperBike champion was Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Mat Mladin who has since retired from racing. Doyle is now the crew chief for Young’s sophomore season.

The Rockstar Makita Suzuki team will be signing autographs on Saturday, March 27, from 11:15 am until 12 pm at the Suzuki display tent.

The doubleheader this weekend will be televised on Speed on Sunday, March 28, at 4 p.m. Look for the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team to be battling at the front of the pack!
