If the repair is covered under warranty, there is no cost to the user.
For repairs not covered under warranty, the customer may request an estimate prior to repair. If authorized by the customer, the repairs will proceed and upon completion the customer will be informed of the actual costs. Prior to releasing the tool for free return-shipping, Makita will collect full payment for cost of repair.
*Item and/or package shipped in for service cannot exceed 100 lbs. and must not measure greater than 108" in length or 165" in length plus girth (L+2W+2H), otherwise it will need to be brought directly to a Makita Factory Service Center.
