Scheuring Makita Speed Sports’ Robbie Malinoski clawed his way from a second row starting spot to a fifth overall in the Pro Open class at Hayward, Wisconsin. The result keeps the Lino Lakes, Minnesota resident in contention for a top three year-end spot, as series finale approaches in just two weeks!
Scheuring Makita Speed Sports’ Andrew Johnstad finished the race eighth overall but gained yet another position in the series standings. Johnstad has been one of the more consistent riders in the Open class during the last month of racing and still has a shot at joining teammate Malinoski in the top three.
Round 8 marked Scheuring Makita Speed Sports’ second annual trip to the northwestern Wisconsin community of Hayward. Two days of blue skies and 50 degree temperatures brought race fans out in droves, with standing room only despite the addition of several new sections of bleacher seating. Yet another great day at the slopes for Scheuring Makita Speed Sports’!
