MAKITA PRESENTS MORE SOLUTIONS FOR CONCRETE PROS AT WORLD OF CONCRETE TRADE SHOW IN LAS VEGAS

FEBRUARY 3, 2010, Las Vegas, NV -- After two days at the annual World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas, concrete professionals from across the country are experiencing the Makita Advantage with an array of hands-on tool demonstrations presented by Makita at the annual World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas.

Makita is offering attendees a truly interactive trade show experience that includes Makita’s very latest concrete hammers, powered-up and ready to put to work in thousands of pounds of concrete positioned in front of Makita’s Experience More, a 53-foot interactive tool display on wheels.

After running Makita’s latest rotary and demolition hammers in stacked-slabs of 5,000 PSI concrete, attendees are offered Makita branded gear and encouraged to step into Makita’s exclusive Makita Rockstar Photo Booth for a photo with Rockstar Energy models.   Visitors can download their photos at Makita Nation (www.makitatools.com/makitanation) as a memento of their experience with Makita at the concrete industry’s biggest trade show.

“Makita knows concrete, and we’re here to back up our words with hands-on demonstrations of our best-in-class rotary hammers, demolition hammers, and more,” said Wayne Hart, communications manager at Makita. “We are presenting an opportunity for concrete professionals to try out Makita Industrial Power Tools against the competition, and feel the difference for themselves.”

Makita’s hands-on product demonstrations include the 70 lb. Breaker Hammer with AVT (HM1810), the 27.1 lb. SDS-MAX Demolition Hammer with AVT (HM1214C), the 1-9/16" SDS-MAX Rotary Hammer with AVT (HR4010C), and more. Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) is Makita’s exclusive counterbalance system that reduces vibration for more efficient hammering.

In addition to AVT-equipped concrete hammers, Makita is demonstrating cordless rotary hammers, impact wrenches, and impact drivers from Makita’s growing LXT Series featuring 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery technology. The LXT Series now offers over 35 cordless solutions.

Makita will be at booth O31836 in the outdoor exhibit area at the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas, February 2-5, 2010.
