SCHEURING MAKITA BACK ON THE PODIUM!

With a season’s worth of bad luck in the rear view mirror, all three drivers delivered strong performances in both the pro and semi pro classes.

In Pro Stock Andrew Johnstad was the number two qualifier and Robbie Malinoski tied for the number three spot. In the main event both drivers ran up front all race. Robbie took the checkered flag in second place and Andrew came across in fourth, just missing the final podium spoy by a few sled lengths.

In Semi Pro Stock driver Joe Fallen was the number two qualifier for the main event. Joe ran at the front of the back all race and missed a podium position after a controversial pass was made on him under the caution flag. Although disappointed it was still a very respectable fourth for Lil’ Joe.

In Pro Open, Robbie and Andrew continued their strong weekend performance earning the number three and four qualifying spots. In the final both drivers ran up front for the majority of the race. Near the halfway point Robbie’s sled started to experience some electrical gremlins. Despite the issue, he was able to hold on to a seventh place finish. Meanwhile Andrew stayed with the front runners and finished with another top five.

Next event: February 19-20, Sarnia, Ontario Canada.
