New DA6301 features triple gear reduction system for maximum performance
La Mirada, CA – Makita, a worldwide manufacturer of technologically advanced power tools that are more compact with less weight yet deliver industrial strength power and results, is proud to announce the release of its new ½” Angle Drill (model DA6301). The new Makita ½” Angle Drill delivers a range of features, including a built-in clutch that reduces gear damage by disengaging the gears should the bit bind. The DA6301 is engineered for the professional contractor that requires power and high torque in a compact angle drill, and is ideal for drilling large holes in confined areas.
“The new Makita half-inch angle drill is engineered with an outstanding power to weight ratio,” said Joe Soto, Product Manager, Pneumatics and Residential Construction. “The DA6301 delivers power and torque similar to much heavier angle drills.”
The new DA6301 is powered by a 7.5 AMP Makita-built motor with a triple hear reduction system engineered for maximum power, and 2-speeds (300 and 1,200 RPM) for increased drilling versatility. The ½” Angle Drill also has ball and needle bearing construction for longer tool life, as well as a built-in clutch which reduces gear damage by disengaging gears if the bit binds.
Additional features include a rocker-type reversing switch for forward and reverse operation, as well as a large 2-position side handle for increased operator comfort and control. It weighs just 9.5 lbs. with a compact design for easier operation in confined spaces.
The Makita DA6301 ½” Angle Drill is engineered for making large holes in confined areas, and is ideal for electricians, plumbers, framers, and general contractors that require power and high torque in a compact angle drill. The DA6301 includes a drill chuck, chuck key, side handle, and steel tool case.
