Rockstar Makita Suzuki is ready to race at Road America this weekend in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Blake Young, who is a Wisconsin native, and Tommy Hayden’s crews have both been working with their Makita power tools to fine-tune the undeniable power and agile handling of the Suzuki GSX-R1000 in preparation for this weekend’s doubleheader.
Blake Young has had a great 2010 so far. He’s currently fourth in overall points and has racked up two wins, the first of his career, at Road Atlanta in Georgia. Road America is considered Young’s hometown track and he’s hoping to show the Wisconsin crowd some great racing. Tommy Hayden is currently second in points in the AMA American SuperBike class, and he’s looking to add to those points this weekend. Hayden got his first SuperBike career victory this year at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif.
The team has been a contender for the title since the very first race of the season in Daytona Beach, Florida, in March. The team has won four races and has been on the podium many times in 2010.
The Rockstar Makita Suzuki team is preparing for a great weekend at Road America, and before the racing kicks off all of the Suzuki racing stars participating in the AMA series will be signing autographs on Saturday from 12 to 12:45 p.m. at the Suzuki Experience Tent. Stop by and meet your favorite Makita racers!
