Two new models deliver unique features and an ergonomic design
FEBRUARY 23, 2010 – La Mirada, Calif. – Makita, a worldwide manufacturer of technologically advanced power tools that are more compact with less weight yet deliver industrial strength power and results, is proud to announce the release of two new 2,500 RPM screwdrivers, models FS2500 (top-right) and FS2701 (below-right). These new screwdrivers have less weight with an ergonomic design and are built for continuous heavy-duty work in a range of applications.
”Makita’s new 2,500 RPM screwdrivers are the most compact and lightweight models in their class,” said Anthony Corwin, product manager, commercial products. “The increased ergonomics along with several unique features make the FS2500 and FS2701 the best choice for metal framing, exterior sheathing, metal decking, and more.”
Makita’s new 2,500 RPM screwdrivers are powered by a 6 AMP motor designed for continuous heavy-duty work. Each drywall gun has a large variable speed trigger with lock-in button for continuous use, an ergonomically-designed grip for increased comfort, and a cast aluminum gear housing for less weight and increased durability. Other convenience features include an L.E.D. light to illuminate the work surface and a metal reinforced belt clip for increased durability.
FS2500 Screwdriver
The FS2500 weighs just 3.4 lbs., and features an adjustable depth locator assembly with Sure-Lock™ feature for consistent screw depth. The FS2500 has a no-load speed of 0-2,500 RPM for a range of applications.
FS2701 Screwdriver
The FS2701 weighs just 3.5 lbs., and features 6-Stage Torque Adjustment and a no-load speed of 0-2,500 RPM for a wide range of applications.
