THE BRIGHTEST MAKITA FAN JACKET HAS ARRIVED

The new 18V LXT Cordless Fan Jacket delivers up to 11.25 hours of cool air with an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery.

June 6, 2019, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc. launched a new 18V LXT^® Cordless High Visibility Fan Jacket (DFJ214Z). Available in sizes ranging from S to 3XL, the fan jacket offers cool air for up to 11.25 hours with an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery (sold separately).

In addition to powering the expanding system of 18V cordless tools and accessories, Makita^® 18V Lithium-Ion Batteries can also keep contractors cooler in hot job site conditions. The DFJ214Z is ideal for use indoors and outdoors, at jobsites ranging from roadwork and landscaping to attics and crawl spaces. The fan jacket provides cooling, circulating air inside the jacket and gives the user a degree of protection from sunburn when worn outdoors.

Two compact brushless fans provide optimum airflow on the left and right sides. Users can adjust the air flow by selecting the high, medium, or low air flow mode, or turbo mode. Air flow is generated by Makita’s 18V Lithium-Ion Batteries, including the 2.0Ah (BL1820), 5.0Ah (BL1850Ah), and 6.0Ah (BL1860) batteries (sold separately). Duration of air-flow time varies with battery and setting. A battery pocket is located on the rear-left side, out of the way, but within reach for quick and easy access. Users can also keep portable electronic devices charged-up with the convenient on-board USB power port. The power source features an integrated belt clip.

The DFJ214Z is fluorescent with silver reflective tape accents for increased visibility in low light, and meets ANSI107 Class 3 requirements for use in work environments. The jacket’s polyester shell provides increased wind and water resistance. The knitted cuffs and waist provide a better fit to help keep the air circulating inside the jacket. The fan jacket is machine washable when the fan and power source are removed.

Five pockets, including a zippered chest pocket, battery pocket, sleeve pocket, left side pocket and right side pocket, provide convenient access to personal items.

The new 18V LXT High Visibility Fan Jacket is part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT system, which offers 200+ tools and is the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries.
