MAKITA ANNOUNCES NEW 18V LXT CORDLESS FAN, L.E.D. FLASHLIGHT, AND JOB SITE RADIO

August 19, 2019, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools and accessories, is introducing a new 18V LXT^® Lithium-Ion Cordless Fan, Flashlight, and Job Site Radio. All three solutions are powered by Makita^® 18V LXT batteries, the same fast-charging batteries that power over 225 solutions in the expanding LXT System.

18V LXT^® Lithium-Ion Cordless 9-1/4” Fan, Tool Only (DCF203Z)

The DCF203Z provides strong air flow and superior run time. Users can get up to 16 hours of continuous airflow (on low speed with 5.0Ah battery sold separately). The fan has three speed settings and an oscillation selector for optimal air control. It oscillates 45° left and right and can manually tilt 90° up and 45° down. For convenience, users can set an automatic timer with 1, 2, and 4 hour power-off options. The fan is designed for quiet operation with a reduced wind noise level. An AC Adapter (SE00000681) is included for optional corded operation.  

18V LXT^® Lithium-Ion Cordless L.E.D. Flashlight, Flashlight Only (DML815, DML815B)

An ideal addition to any toolbox or workshop, DML815(B) provides light for up to 23 hours with a 5.0Ah LXT battery (sold separately). The high-luminance 4 L.E.D. flashlight provides 160 lumens in a sharp, round spotlight. The flashlight head pivots to 12 positions to direct the light where needed. The flashlight is compact at 10-3/4” long and only 1.95 pounds with battery (sold separately). A rubberized soft grip provides increased comfort and a metal hang hook keeps the flashlight handy on the jobsite. DML815 features a teal and black dress, while DML815B is all black.

18V LXT^® / 12V max CXT^® Lithium-Ion Cordless Bluetooth^® Job Site Radio, Tool Only (XRM09B)

Listen to music of your choice on or off the job site with our new 18V LXT^® / 12V max CXT^® Cordless Bluetooth^® Radio. The new radio delivers rich, full stereo sound from two powerful 3.5” side-firing speakers and one 4” subwoofer. Users can listen to the digital tuner, a mobile device wirelessly connected via Bluetooth, or an MP3 player via the auxiliary port. The lighted dial changes colors relative to the sound mode selected. Users can select seven sound modes for different genres of music.

XRM09B offers versatility in power sources. Compatible with a 12V max CXT, 14.4V, and 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries, this radio offers more flexibility for users. The radio runs up to 18 hours with an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery (sold separately). An included AC Adapter (SE00000681) offers corded operation.

Like previous Makita Radios, XRM09B is durable to withstand harsh jobsite conditions. The radio features a dust- and water-resistant construction (IP65 rated), elastomer bumpers and die-cast aluminum guards for increased durability. The radio weighs about 12 lbs. with battery (sold separately). For operator convenience, the radio has a carry handle, which also houses an integrated antenna.
