July 23, 2019, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of innovative cordless tools and accessories, is launching a random orbit polisher optimized for cordless performance. Ideal for automobiles and boats, the new 18V LXT^® Brushless Cordless 5”/6” Dual Action Random Orbit Polisher (XOP02) assists with repairing oxidation, removing overspray, blending finishes, removing adhesive, and much more.

This random orbit polisher is an ideal solution for a variety of polishing applications where mobility is important. The cordless design eliminates the hassle of cord management and accidental marring of delicate surfaces. The polisher has a 7/32” (5.5 mm) orbit diameter that provides a swirl-free finish.

The polisher offers two actions: random orbit with forced rotation or random orbit with free rotation. Dual power mode provides high power for correcting and low power for extended run time during polishing applications.

The variable speed control dial has five speed settings so users are able to set the speed and action to the application. The dial is conveniently located for easy adjustment. Constant speed control automatically applies additional power to the motor to maintain speed under load. A soft start is designed to suppress start-up reaction for smooth start-ups and longer gear life.

Other features include rubberized tool rest positions over gear housing and battery to help protect delicate surfaces, an ergonomically designed knob handle which provides precision and control in a variety of applications, and wire mesh air vent intake covers to prevent pad fibers from entering the motor.
