October 2, 2019, La Mirada, CA – Makita® U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional power tools and accessories, announced new Premium Diamond Blades. The seventeen new blades include general purpose and dual purpose blades.
“The new premium diamond blades cut up to 40% faster and last up to four times longer than the competition,” claims Steve Relaz, marketing product manager, “due to new bond formulation and increased segment heights.”
Features of Premium Diamond Blades
Premium Diamond Blades feature a new bond formulation that increases performance, including faster cutting. The bond is the material that holds the diamonds. Only premium quality diamonds are used in these blades. The diamonds provide increased durability and extend the blade life.
The segment heights have increased from 7mm to 13mm for longer life. Cooling slots/gullets are engineered to keep the blade cool during operation and ensure a smooth cutting action for reduced operator fatigue.
General Purpose Saw Blades
Makita launched three general blade types: segmented, turbo, and continuous rim.
Dual Purpose Saw Blades
Dual Purpose blades feature a harder bond for strength and segmented edge. These blades are black in color for easy identification. The dual purpose blades are ideal for cutting asphalt and concrete.
The Premium Diamond Blades are part of an expansive line of Makita Concrete Solutions that includes power cutters, rotary hammers, breaker hammers, demolition hammers, grinders, planers, rebar tying tools, dust extraction and more.
