MAKITA ANNOUNCES AUTO-START WIRELESS UNIVERSAL ADAPTER

The WUT02U provides wireless power on/off capability between tool and dust extractor

September 3, 2019, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high quality industrial power tools and accessories, is introducing the Auto-Start Wireless Universal Adapter, WUT02U.

The WUT02U is an adapter that utilizes Bluetooth^® technology and is compatible with most AC dust extractors that include a tool-activated outlet. When plugged into the on-board outlet, the adapter enables wireless power on/off with a Makita^® Automatic-Start Wireless System (AWS™) equipped tool.

“Demanding applications, like surfacing, require a high amount of CFM to be OSHA compliant,” said David Fernandez, Product Category Manager – Metalworking and Concrete Products. “This adapter can be used with most corded dust extractors equipped with an on-board tool activated outlet so users get increased CFM and cordless AWS power on/off.”

The WUT02U is compatible with Makita Dust Extractor/Vacuum model VC4710 and most AC Dust Extractors that include a tool-activated power outlet. With the WUT02U and VC4710 combined, Makita offers the ultimate corded performance capacity for dust extraction.

An adaptable hanging hook and strap for attachment to multiple extractors is included.

Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS™)

Makita's Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS™) uses Bluetooth^® technology for wireless power-on and power-off communication between the tool and dust extractor. The Auto-Start Wireless Universal Adapter enables On/Off communication of Makita AWS capable tools with most AC Dust Extractors that include a tool-activated power outlet. This communication between battery operated tools and the extractor, increases productivity, reduces noise, and eliminates cords.
