Makita opens the 2023 Equip Expo with eight new products for pros, further expanding its commercial power equipment system backed by over 105 years of motor engineering

October 18, 2023 – Louisville, KY– The Makita system of professional outdoor power equipment is on full display this week in Louisville at Equip Expo, including eight never-seen new products making their debut at the green industry’s largest annual trade show.

A Focus on Conversion, and a New Mobile App to Reveal Cost Savings

In addition to eight new products making their debut today at Equip Expo, the Makita booth has a sharp focus on trailer conversion – literally: A landscaper trailer is positioned in the center of the booth, fully loaded with Makita battery-powered products, and Makita experts are demonstrating a new mobile app that clearly shows the cost savings of going battery powered based on each contractor’s unique business metrics.

Live Product Demonstrations of Key Products

The booth also features three compelling product demonstrations including concrete cutting with the 80V (40V X2) XGT® 14” Power Cutter, which gives users performance comparable to a 75.6cc gas power cutter. Attendees will also see Makita battery-powered chain saws in action, as well as the new water pump attachment for the expansive couple shaft system.

Makita battery-powered options include three systems of professional power equipment:

LXT® 18V | 36V: The world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V batteries (300+ Products, One System), with an expansive range of 18V and 36V mowers, trimmers, blowers, chain saws, and more.

AGZA Certified for Top Performance and Zero Emissions

Makita XGT® and ConnectX™ Outdoor Power Equipment has earned field-tested certification from the American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA). AGZA is a global leader in zero-emission sustainable grounds maintenance strategies, and they test for the highest quality and best performing zero-emission lawncare equipment.
