Faster Cuts, More Power
The 3” Cut-Off Tool features a powerful Makita-built brushless motor that delivers 20,000 RPM for faster cutting through a range of materials. The electronically controlled brushless motor efficiently uses energy to match torque and RPM to the changing demands of the application. The brushless motor optimizes battery usage for up to 50% longer run time per charge.
Solutions for Many Industries
With power and portability in mind, the 3” Cut-Off Tool is an ideal solution for plumbers and HVAC installers, tiling and demolition needs, as well as for use in automotive repair. The XCM01 utilizes the wide range of Makita 3” Cutting Blades that are available including the Continuous Rim Diamond Blade (D-77825) for tile, ceramic, or porcelain cutting applications, the Carbide Grit Cut-Off Wheel (D-74843) for use in cutting drywall, plasterboard, PVC and more. The 3” Cut Off Tool also can utilize the Makita Abrasive Cut-Off Wheel which is ideal for cutting wood, stainless steel, copper, and many others.
Convenience Features
Convenience features include an ergonomic design for one-handed operation, a conveniently located switch for easy forward and reverse operation, and an L.E.D. light that illuminates the work area. The Cut-Off Tool also includes a tool-less dust collection cut-off guard that installs easily and allows up to 5/8” cuts when installed. The Cut-Off tool is ergonomically designed for one-handed operation. It weighs only 2.6lbs with a battery installed (sold separately) for reduced operator fatigue.
