MAKITA RELEASES NEW CORDLESS BLOWER POWERED BY TWO 18V LXT® BATTERIES

18V X2 LXT® Lithium-Ion (36V) Cordless Blower (BUB360Z2C).

Makita, a worldwide manufacturer of technologically advanced power tools that are more compact with less weight yet deliver industrial power and results, has released the new 18V X2 LXT® Lithium-Ion (36V) Cordless Blower, model BUB360Z2C. Makita has also released a new 36V LXT® Lithium-Ion Cordless Blower, model UB360DWD.

BUB360Z2C: Powered by Two 18V Batteries

The new 18V X2 Cordless Blower is powered by two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries for 36V power and run time.

"The new 18V X2 Cordless Blower has all the power and performance of gas-powered models, but without the noise, emissions and maintenance associated with gas motors,” said Mario Lopez, Makita Product Manager, Cordless Tools. “It delivers 36V power and run time but with the same 18V LXT® batteries that power over 65 Makita 18V Lithium-Ion cordless tools, so there’s not the hassle of maintaining another battery platform. Makita 18V X2 battery technology gives landscapers a new cordless solution.”

Corded Performance with the Convenience of Cordless

The BUB360Z2C has a variable 2-speed motor (0-10,000,0-17,000 RPM) with a maximum air velocity of 208 MPH and up to 30 minutes of continuous run time. Added benefits include lower noise at only 86 dB(A) and zero emissions, making the BUB360Z2C ideal for applications in residential areas. The 18V X2 cordless BUB360Z2C requires none of the maintenance associated with comparable gas-powered blowers: simply insert two charged 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries and the tool is ready for work.

Additional benefits include a compact design at only 36-1/4” long with less weight (only 8 lbs. with batteries, sold separately). The BUB360Z2C also has LED battery indicators that show the charge level for each 18V LXT® battery (batteries sold separately).

Latest Addition to 65+ Tool 18V Line-Up

The BUB360Z2C Blower is a new addition to the expanding 18V LXT® line up, with 65+ cordless tools powered by Makita’s 18V Lithium-Ion battery that reaches a full charge in only 30 minutes.

36V LXT® Lithium-Ion 12” Chain Saw (UB360DWB)

Makita has also released a new 36V LXT® Lithium-Ion Chain Saw (model UB360DWB). The new 36V Blower has similar performance specs as the 18V X2 BUB360Z2C but is powered by the Makita 36V Lithium-Ion battery. The 36V UB360DWB Blower can also be fitted with the LXT® Adaptor to be powered by two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries (adaptor and 18V batteries sold separately).
