MAKITA RELEASES WORLD’S LARGEST CORDLESS CIRCULAR SAW

New XGT® 16-5/16” Circular Saw gives users larger cutting capacity and faster cutting speeds

With faster cutting speeds and a larger cutting capacity, it is a true replacement for a corded saw.

It’s powered by the same fast-charging 40V max batteries that are compatible with over 170+ XGT® products.

Faster Cutting Speed Than Corded

The new 16-5/16" Circular Saw offers up to 30% faster cutting speeds than corded (compared to the Makita model 16-5/16" Circular Saw, 5402NA). It is ideal for cutting large timber, pressure treated lumber and wood logs. The GSH06 can deliver up to up to 75 cuts per charge in 6x12 lumber on a single charge of a 40V max XGT® 5.0Ah Battery (BL4050F, included with the GSH06T1 Kit).

Cutting Capacity

It delivers large capacity blade cuts of 6-1/4" at 90° and 4-3/16" at 45°. The GSH06 can cut 6x material at 90° and 4x material at 45° in a single pass. It features a 0-45° bevel capacity with positive stops at 15°, 30°, and 45°. It also features a compact and ergonomic die-cast aluminum design that weighs only 24.3 lbs., 4.1 lbs. lighter than equivalent corded saws. It also features a blade stabilizer for stable blade rotation and superior cutting performance.

Convenience Features

Convenience features include an electric brake for maximum productivity and a bevel lock that allows the user to adjust the cutting bevel angle quickly and easily. It also features Soft Start, which suppresses start-up reaction for improved accuracy.

XGT®: One System of Cordless Equipment and Tools

The new Circular Saw is part of Makita XGT®, an expanding system of 40V max and 80V max cordless equipment and tools. XGT® gives users one system, from core handheld tools like drills and impact drivers to equipment-grade products including high-capacity saws, rotary hammers, and power cutters – all powered by 40V max XGT® batteries.
