Makita has released a compact, handheld cutting solution with the 40V max XGT® 6" Pruning Saw (GCU07).
May 05, 2025, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools, power equipment, and accessories, has released a compact, handheld cutting solution with the 40V max XGT® 6" Pruning Saw (GCU07). It is an ideal solution for light limbing and pruning applications.
It's powered by the same fast-charging 40V max batteries that are compatible with 170+ XGT® products.
Compact Cutting Solution
The 6” Pruning Saw can deliver up to 80% more power (compared to the Makita 18V LXT® 6" Pruning Saw, XCU14), up to 70% faster cuts, and can deliver up to 400 cuts in 2" cedar with a fully charged 40V max XGT® 2.5Ah battery (battery sold separately). The GCU07 features "tool-free" chain adjustment for convenient operation and maintenance. It weighs only 4.6 lbs. with battery (battery sold separately) for reduced operator fatigue.
Convenience Features
Convenience features include a soft grip handle engineered for the user to more easily apply even cutting pressure. The 6” Pruning Saw includes a 6" guide bar and .325" LP pitch, .043”-gauge chain.
XGT®: One System of Cordless Equipment and Tools
The new Pruning Saw is part of Makita XGT®, an expanding system of 40V max and 80V max cordless equipment and tools.
