MAKITA ADDS 18 NEW XGT® CORDLESS TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT TO EXPANDING SYSTEM

Users can choose from three new Dust Extractors from 4-gallon rolling units made for large capacity, to a more portable backpack unit.

XGT®: One System of Cordless Equipment and Tools
It's part of Makita XGT®, an expanding system of 40V and 80V max cordless equipment and tools. XGT® gives users one system, from core handheld tools like drills and impact drivers to equipment-grade products including high-capacity saws, rotary hammers, and power cutters – all powered by 40V max XGT® batteries.

“It’s been only 18 months since launch, and already the XGT® System is pushing one hundred 40-volt and 80-volt products,” said Wayne Hart, senior communications manager, Makita U.S.A., Inc. “With this rapid expansion, Makita is delivering on the XGT® promise of replacing a full range of products traditionally powered by gas, cords, and air.”

“The recent release of the XGT® 14-inch power cutter is a true gas replacement,” he continued, “and this month’s releases include chain saws, grinders and rotary hammers with performance that meets and exceeds those same products powered by gas and cords. XGT® users get it all in one system, from core handheld cordless tools like drills and impacts to equipment-grade products, all powered by the same 40-volt max batteries.”

The following are the new XGT® products announced for October 2022:

Outdoor Power Equipment
40V max XGT® 16" Top Handle Chain Saw (GCU03) - Professional arborist chain saw with Makita-built brushless motor provides power equivalent to a 30cc gas top handle chain saw. Also available in 14” (GCU02), and 12” (GCU01).

40V max (40V max X2) XGT® Brushless Brush Cutter (GRU05) - Makita-built brushless motor delivers the power of a 40cc gas brush cutter.

Construction
40V max XGT® Brushless 1-3/16" AVT® Rotary Hammer, SDS-PLUS, AFT®, AWS® Capable (GRH08Z) - Constant speed control automatically applies additional power under load for optimum performance.

40V max XGT® 1-3/16" Rotary Hammer, Tool only with Dust Extractor Attachment with HEPA Filter Cleaning Mechanism (GRH08ZW) - Dust extraction capability with OSHA Table 1 compliant on-board HEPA Dust Extractor or stand-alone AWS® Extractor options.

40V max XGT® 1-3/16" Rotary Hammer with Quick Change Chuck (GRH09Z) - Quick change chuck allows for interchangeability from SDS-PLUS to 1/2" keyless chuck for utilization of straight shank bits.


Metal Working Tools
40V max XGT® Brushless 5" X-LOCK Angle Grinder, with Electric Brake, AWS® Capable (GAG11) – Cuts #5 rebar up to 60% faster that predecessor LXT® models (XAG04). The innovative X-LOCK quick change system enables up to 5-times faster accessory changes.

40V max XGT® Brushless 5" X-LOCK Paddle Switch Angle Grinder, w/ Electric Brake (GAG13) – Cuts #5 rebar up to 60% faster that predecessor LXT® models (XAG04). Also features the X-LOCK quick change mechanism.

Vacuums and Dust Extraction
40V max XGT® Brushless Four Gallon Wet/Dry Dust Extractor/Vacuum (GCV03) – Features 148 CFM and 92" water lift with an efficient cloth filter optimized for wet pickup or dry use capturing small dust particulates.

40V max XGT® Brushless Four Gallon HEPA Filter Dry Dust Extractor, AWS® Capable (GCV04) – Features 148 CFM and 92" water lift with variable speed control dial for a variety of applications.

40V max XGT® Brushless 1/2 Gallon HEPA Filter Backpack Dry Dust Extractor, AWS® Capable (GCV06) – Features 67 CFM and 72" water lift to offer ultimate portability when presented with overhead construction, job site obstacles, and limited space.

40V max XGT® Brushless Cyclonic 4-Speed HEPA Filter Compact Stick Vacuum (GLC03) – Features 35 CFM and 80" static water lift with powerful cyclonic action to separate dust particles for up to 6x longer filter life.

40V max XGT® L.E.D. Work light 3,600 LM (ML005G) - Three modes of operation delivering 3,600 lumens on High, 1,800 lumens on Medium, and 900 lumens on Low.

40V max XGT® L.E.D. Flashlight / Spotlight (ML007G) - Three modes of operation delivering 600 lumens on Spot, 1,000 lumens on Flood, and 1,250 lumens on Spot/Flood, and Strobe mode.
