NEW 18V X2 (36V) LXT BRUSHLESS CORDLESS EARTH AUGER PROVIDES IMPRESSIVE POWER

The XGD01 has the power of a 36cc gas earth auger, with less weight and hassles.

January 19, 2021, La Mirada, CA – Makita U.S.A., Inc., the innovation leader in cordless power tool technology and cordless outdoor power equipment, is excited to announce the new 18V X2 (36V) LXT^® Cordless Earth Auger (XGD01). The XGD01 provides high-performance digging of even and consistent holes, making it ideal for landscaping, construction, and soil sampling.

Its hole drilling capacity is 8” wide and 41” deep. The Makita-built brushless motor delivers power of a 36cc gas earth auger. Other benefits compared to a gas auger include no emissions, no oil mixing, no pull starts, reduced maintenance, lower noise levels, and 30% less weight.

The XGD01 offers 2 speed options: 0-350 RPM and 0-1,400 RPM. It features Automatic Speed Change^™ technology to adjust the drill speed and torque during drilling, reverse switch, torque limiter, and built-in L.E.D. light. Metal-gear housing increases the tool’s durability. The XGD01 also features Makita’s exclusive Extreme Protection Technology (XPT^™) for improved dust and water resistance in harsh conditions.

The cordless earth auger is available as a kit (XGD01PT) or tool-only (XGD01Z) and include auger bit adaptors and a chuck key with convenient on-tool storage. Other accessories such as 4”, 6” and 8” auger drill bits and extension bars are sold separately.
