TWO MORE THUMBS UP FOR THE 18V X2 (36V) LXT REAR HANDLE CIRCULAR SAW

Jimbo Slice says Makita “definitely knocked this on out of the park” with the XSR01

The Jimbo Slice Workshop just joined growing ranks of contractors, bloggers, and media who have gone on record with a POSITIVE review of the Makita 18V X2 (36V) LXT® Brushless 7-1/4” Rear Handle Circular Saw. The XSR01, the world’s first cordless rear-handle 7-1/4” circular saw, is powered by TWO 18V batteries with an efficient brushless motor that’s giving contractors freedom from the cord for framing, remodeling, formwork, and more.

JSW had a long list of likes: He started with the power of the brushless motor, then went to convenience features like the rafter hook with barbs to prevent slipping, easy depth and bevel adjustments, dual battery gauges, and the 2-9/16” cutting capacity. (As for competitor cordless saws, there's a nice parting shot at 9:20 in the video!)

Jimbo Slice Workshop gave the new XSR01 high marks for power, bevel adjust, rafter hook, depth guard, and more.

The saw is available in a kit (model XSR01PT) that includes two 18V LXT 5.0Ah batteries and an efficient 18V Dual Port Charger, which charges two batteries at the same time for increased efficiency.
