ROCKSTAR MAKITA SUZUKI MAINTAINS SERIES LEAD AFTER PLEASURE VALLEY
Rockstar Makita Suzuki continues to lead the ATV Pro Motocross series, and after podium finishes for both Josh Creamer and Dustin Wimmer, they are both at the top of the class. Dustin Wimmer took second place in the first moto, and teammate Josh Creamer took the win in moto 2. Creamer was in second overall for the day and added to his already significant points lead. Defending champ Wimmer, with his fourth-place overall finish, is now only 25 points behind Creamer and holding tight to second place in the run for the title.
In the first moto, Dustin Wimmer battled for the lead. The defending champ was hot on the back wheels of the leader and was fighting for the top spot, but the moto ended before Wimmer could get out front. Wimmer finished second, while teammate and current points leader Josh Creamer fought his way to a fourth-place finish after a rough start held him back.
In the second moto, Creamer was determined to get back on the podium. After setting the fastest qualifying time in practice, Creamer knew he had the speed to get him to the front. Creamer came out of the gate in third place but made quick work of taking over the lead. His 4-1 finish for the day put him in second overall and earned him enough points to lengthen his lead in the pro class. Wimmer, on the other hand, struggled in the second moto and finished fifth, putting him just off the box with fourth overall. Wimmer is second in points in the class heading into Round 9 at Unadilla in New York on July 17th.
