Soccer fans are counting down to the final match of the 2012 Major League Soccer season, and Makita will be there with thousands of soccer-crazed fans.

Makita, the Official Power Tool of Major League Soccer, has been a constant presence at MLS matches. Now, with only two teams and one match remaining, Makita will be at the sold-out Home Depot Center for the 2012 MLS Cup to engage with fans.

Soccer Celebration, FREE at The Home Depot Center
Soccer Celebration is a FREE event for fans to engage in fun and interactive activities with MLS Partners including Xbox, Volkswagen, The Home Depot, Makita, and Budweiser, among others. The event will be held on Saturday, December 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Lot 13 of The Home Depot Center.

Makita is inviting all soccer fans to the pre-game Soccer Celebration for Makita giveaways, tool demo's, pictures with Miss Makita 2013 Ashley Schultz, a player appearance by Jorge Villafeña of Chivas USA, and more.

More Teams, More Fans
As an MLS Sponsor, Makita has watched soccer's growing profile on the American sports landscape. In 2006 there were 12 MLS teams and 4 soccer-dedicated stadiums with a total attendance of 2.97 million. Today, at the close of the 2012 MLS season, there are 19 teams, 14 soccer-dedicated stadiums (with one more breaking ground), and just over 6 million in total attendance.
