JLC MAGAZINE PICKS MAKITA BRUSHLESS MOTOR IMPACT DRIVER AS BEST
Makita BTD144 delivers "better runtime" and more
In their November 2009 issue, JLC Magazine reviewed the Bosch 25618-02, Milwaukee 2650-20, and Makita BTD144. The reviewer (a remodeler in Denver) compared a variety of specs and features. He tested run-time by driving ¼" x 4" lags into a pressure-treated 4x4 without drilling pilot holes, and Makita outlasted them all.

The tester even froze each battery in a chunk of ice, and the Makita performed best under the extreme-cold conditions.
The final result: Makita 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Motor Impact Driver was picked "the best of the three."
This is another thumbs-up for the versatile 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Motor 3-Speed Impact Driver. From cabinet screws to lag bolts, the Makita BTD144 is a best-in-class cordless impact driver for a wide range of tasks. And the 18V LXT Brushless Motor delivers up to 50% longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life.
