The new Makita SDS Rotary Hammer combines compact design with power and performance, making it the most lightweight SDS rotary hammer on the market.
The HR1830F is extremely lightweight, yet it has the performance and versatility of heavier SDS Rotary Hammers, said Anthony Corwin, Makita Commercial and Industrial Product Manager. There's nothing like it in the category.
Weighing just 3.7 pounds with a length of 10-7/8, this rotary hammer is the lightest and most compact available. Despite the compact design, the HR1830F tested 70% faster than the competition when hammer-drilling with an 11/16 bit. The versatile HR1830F has a 2-mode operation: rotation-only and hammer-with-rotation. The no hammering when idling function ensures extra-low vibration under no load.
The SDS Rotary Hammer includes a recessed lock-on button for continuous use, and a built-in L.E.D. light to illuminate the drilling surface. The lightweight, compact design of the HR1830F makes it perfect for working on overhead surfaces or applying anchor-type holes. Prime applications include concrete form work, tilt-wall bracing, fences, pipe hangers, hand rails, racking, and other jobs requiring anchor applications.
Model HR1830F is a kit and includes the tool, depth gauge, an ergonomic soft-grip side handle with elastomer for better comfort, and a tool case.
