The AF505 has an improved nose piece to drive brads precisely for all finish projects without scratching or damaging surfaces. This best-in-class finishing feature is combined with a “tool-less” depth adjustment to drive brads to the precise level on the wood's surface for clean and accurate work.
“This new 18 Gauge Brad Nailer packs plenty of power for work on baseboards, cabinets, furniture, and more,” said Susan Gibson, Makita Associate Residential Construction Product Manager. “With the improvements to the nose and the addition of bumpers, this won't leave marks on the work surface.”
The AF505 has a non-marring rubber nose piece to protect wood finish from tool recoil, as well as flank-mounted rubber bumpers to prevent scratches when the tool is laid on its side. In addition to these protective features, the nose piece guides the drive blade to precisely contact each brad, while the “tool-less” depth adjustment drives nails to the precise level on the wood's surface.
The spring-loaded magazine accommodates a range of 18 GA brad nails, from 5/8” to 2” long, while the dual nail reload indicator window alerts the user when to reload nails to avoid dry firing. To clear jammed nails more efficiently, the AF505 has a quick-release cam-lock to open the nail guide assembly. Other features include a sky hook clip, a rubber-covered hand grip for non-slip, comfortable contact, and a multi-directional exhaust port that rotates 360 degrees to direct exhaust air away from work.
The AF505 includes the 18 Gauge 2” Brad Nailer, oil supply, safety goggles, nose adaptor, and tool case.
