June 06, 2006 — LA MIRADA , CA — Makita USA, Inc., manufacturer of professional quality power tools and accessories, proudly announces its inaugural Hispanic Contractor's Tournament, Copa Makita this June at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas, the premier MLS soccer stadium and home of FC Dallas. Thirty-two teams composed of mainly Hispanic Construction workers will compete for a $10,000 mountain of tools in a single elimination tournament commencing the weekend of June 24 th with the final match played July 4 th at 12:00PM (CST) at the stadium in Pizza Hut Park just hours before the FC Dallas match and fireworks extravaganza.

Pizza Hut Park will teem with soccer players and fans alike beginning 9:00AM (CST) on the 24th. The event promises to be a "can't miss" with food, drink, games and fun for the whole family. Eight fields will be devoted to tournament play while a ninth field provides the venue for Fiesta Makita with inflatables, interactive games and product sampling provided by several FC Dallas and MLS sponsors. The timing for Copa Makita couldn't be better as the excitement surrounding the world's greatest sporting event, World Cup Germany, 2006 is about to begin.

So why all the buzz about soccer? "We want to engage our Hispanic end-users where they live, work, play and shop and we believe Soccer provides the perfect platform to do so.
